Fragment Analyzer [VIDEO]

Automated nucleic acid sample prep has never been easier with one powerful capillary electrophoresis system. Fragment Analyzer™ is a hands-free, fully automated system that does it all—assessing quality and quantity of DNA, RNA and even genomic DNA up to 40,000 bp. Next-gen sample QC becomes hassle-free, and you can even build genetic profiles without slab gel for dramatically simplified population and genotyping for SSR and microsatellites.

We empower discovery at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute

A leader in next generation sequencing applications – the Delaware Biotechnology Institute’s (DBI) DNA Sequencing & Genotyping Center -- implements the Fragment Analyzer™ capillary electrophoresis instrument to allow researchers to accelerate their discoveries. Advanced Analytical Technologies, Inc. (AATI), an Ames, Iowa-based analytical instrumentation company, makes the Fragment Analyzer™. "As an internationally recognized facility that provides sequencing services on all the major NGS platforms, we absolutely must have reliable instruments," said Dr. Brewster Kingham, Director for Sequencing and Genotyping Services at DBI. "Our core facility processes nucleic acid samples from around the world. In order to keep up with our sequencing schedules and achieve high data quality, it becomes critically important that we have accurate quantification and quality profiles of our incoming raw materials and final DNA and RNA library preparations." "The Fragment Analyzer™ makes it easier for us to do so, because we trust the instrument’s quantification measurements," said Dr. Kingham. "In fact, we have found that the Fragment Analyzer™ performs well for quality measurements related to sizing -- but is just as effective when it comes to quantification of nucleic acid samples. In the past we used to quantify all nucleic acid samples on a fluorometer. But after several studies, we now trust the Fragment Analyzer™ for nucleic acid concentration measurements. This saves us both time and money by not having to use one method to look at nucleic acid quality and another method for nucleic acid quantity." ...see more at http://www.aati-de.com

Oligo PRO™ - Automated Purity Analyzers

Simultaneously assess 96 different samples by parallel capillary electrophoresis with online, fixed wavelength UV absorbance detection. Preloaded and optimized separation and capillary conditioning methods simplify and streamline operation. Setup your run and our system will process up to 288 samples, unattended. Data analysis software provides automated or manual peak integration. Just choose from our application-specific reagents and you’re ready to go. - Low cost per sample - Size-based, single nucleotide resolution from 10-mer to 80-mer lengths - Easy and economical to use and maintain - Minimal sample preparation and consumption - Simple measurement of purity and annealing efficiency of dsRNAi products

How it Works:

Streamlining DNA Library Preparation for NGS Modern high-throughput sequencing technology has led to a boom in sequencing projects spanning a wide range of research. High-throughput sequencing methods like next generation sequencing (NGS) are now a critical tool for both basic and clinical research, as evidenced by the leap from 236 NGS PubMed citations in 2009 to 1,878 in 2013. However, in many cases genomic DNA can’t be accurately sequenced by NGS, a frustrating challenge for researchers. NGS requires input DNA to first be chopped into short fragments, and then sequences the fragments to determine the order of the bases.

pKa PRO

pKa PRO allows you to accurately quantify compound pKa values, even in the presence of sample impurities. Capillary electrophoresis and fixed-wavelength UV absorbance provide precise detection, while software seamlessly integrates data for simple reporting. Preferred by seven of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies, this technology has been extensively validated across the industry. Predefined separation methodologies ensure you get consistent results across multiple runs and from lab to lab. Choose the buffer plate for your specific application and you’re ready to go. Measure pKa across pH 1.7–11.2 Generate aqueous measurements without cosolvents Define overall charge against pH, for calculating isoelectric point (pI value) Option to perform log P measurements and/or chiral separations
